
Candidates must be enrolled in a public relations major or emphasis track at a four-year university or college within the state of Florida and must have a junior or senior standing with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. An official transcript from your school may be requested with your application. Membership in FPRA or an FPRA Student Chapter is not required.

Selection Process
Five candidates will be selected to meet with the Selection Committee for a brief interview lasting no more than 15 minutes. Candidates will be selected based on submitted résumés and scholarship applications. The Selection Committee will interview each recommended candidate with a focus on their understanding of public relations and their role as a future in public relation professional. The Selection Committee will make a winning recommendation to the board of the Tampa Bay Chapter of FPRA. The winning student will be notified and publicly recognized during the 2007 FPRA Tampa Bay Image Awards Banquet in April.
Deadline
The deadline for all applications for the 2007 FPRA Tampa Bay Scholarship is Monday, March 19, 2007. Postmark will verify the deadline and late applications will not be considered. Finalists will be notified by March 28, 2007 and will be interviewed during the week of April 2. A winner will be selected and notified by April 9 with the 2007 Image Awards Banquet tentatively scheduled for April 26, 2007.
