Phoenix McKinney, APR, is a water conservation coordinator for the Tampa Water Department. She is also a partner in Henderson McKinney and Associates, a management and public relations consulting firm, and an instructor in the public relations certificate program in the Professional and Workforce Development continuing education department at the University of South Florida.

Phoenix has served as chair of the FPRA Tampa Bay accreditation committee for the past two years. She said, "I enjoy working with potential

candidates for accreditation because it is so important -- for the individual and for the profession. I truly believe we all need to work together to maintain high standards, excellence and professionalism in our industry. Accreditation is one way to achieve that with consistency."

GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT FAMILY RESOURCES AND HELP A CHILD, INC.

The Exchange Club of Northeast
St. Petersburg is holding its 10th Annual Golf Tournament at 11:00 am on Monday, May 16, 2005 at the Countryside Country Club in Clearwater. The entry fee is $95 per person and includes complimentary beverages on the course, a buffet dinner and numerous contests. Family Resources is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the children, youth and families in Pinellas County since 1970 and Manatee County since 1992. Help A Child, Inc., located in Pinellas County, operates six programs that provide assistance to families with special needs children and to families who are experiencing child abuse, neglect or exposure to violence.
