

The Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence in the state of Florida. The Local Image Awards is part of a two-tiered process by which entrants and winners are encouraged to submit their entries to the FPRA State Golden Image Awards. Winners demonstrate the very best examples of innovation, planning and design in public relations.
This year the Tampa Bay chapter recognized six award-winning programs.
Division A-Public Relations Programs recognizes complete public relations campaigns.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium won a Grand All Image Award, Image Award and Judges Award for its entry, "Clearwater Marine Aquarium's Effort to Save Sea Turtles-Garners Major Public Support."
The American Heart Association won the Judge's Award and an Award of Distinction for its entry, "Go Red for Women, Heart Month."
Awards of Distinction were given to: American Institute of Steel Construction for "SteelDay," and Southwest Florida Water Management District for its "Get Outside! Campaign."
Division B-Printed Tools of Public Relations recognizes printed tools such as brochures, magazines, etc.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium also won a Grand Image Award and an Image Award for their entry, "Clearwater Marine Aquarium's Effort to Save Sea Turtles-a Major Media Success."
Division C-Audio/Visual Tools of Public Relations recognizes audio/visual tools used in public relations such as web sites, PSA's, blogs, social media, etc.
Syniverse Technologies won a Grand Image Award and an Image Award for their video, "We're Syniverse."
