FPRA Tampa Bay accepting entries for annual Image Awards

Program recognizes exceptional public relations campaigns

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 25, 2016) – The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is accepting entries for its annual Local Image Awards, which recognize outstanding public relations programs in Tampa Bay. The entry deadline is Feb. 29 and the winners will be announced at a program on April 15.

The Local Image Awards competition provides PR practitioners an excellent platform to be recognized in their home markets for outstanding public relations tools and programs. The Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence in the state of Florida, and entrants and winners are also encouraged to submit their entries to the state Golden Image Awards.

To qualify for judging, an entry must incorporate sound public relations research and planning. Entries also must meet the highest standard of production, execution, and evaluation of results and budget.

The entry divisions are: public relations programs, printed tools of public relations, audio/visual tools of public relations, and student projects in public relations. The entry fee for an FPRA member is $50, non-member is $65, and student is $30.

FPRA Tampa Bay is one of 15 statewide chapters of the Florida Public Relations Association. The initial framework began for FPRA in Tampa in 1938. On April 17, 1956 the first chapter, the Tampa Bay Chapter (then known as the Gasparilla Chapter), was chartered.
